Tea for Mom

I thought this would be the cutest Mother's Day card for a mother or grandmother that likes tea! The teapot, cups and shelf are all made using punches and using the Tulipe die with the Big Shot.

Here is how I did it!

I used the 1 3/4" circle punch for the main part of the teapot and cut a slice off of the top and bottom.

For the lid and the base I used the wide oval punch. Then I scored a line across that fit right on top of the piece I cut off of the circle.

Top

The handle and pour spout are from the Tulipe die like shown.

Spout

The cups are using the 3/4" circle punch cut just over halfway for the main cup and then slice off the discarded piece for the bottom.

The handle is the center oval from the Tulipe die with the hole punched with the small hole on the crop-o-dile and cut across with scissors. I used a black marker to draw the lines.

I used the retired Frames with a Flourish stamp set for the images on the teapot and cups but there are many similar stamps in the current catalog. The shelf is a strip of black paper with the pieces from the Tulipe die holding it up.
I went over it quick so I hope you can follow along if you want to!

A Thank You to YOU!

I just wanted to write a message to all of you who have emailed me or left such nice comments about my projects. I wanted to let you know that I read every one and really appreciate them. It makes my day to know that you are enjoying the projects that I have so much fun making and hearing from you what you are doing with them. I get a lot of emails each day and I wish I could respond to all of them. Unfortunately I would never leave my computer chair if I tried so I just wanted you guys to know that I really do read every one and love hearing from you. If you have written me and I have not responded back it is just because of the lack of hours in a day and not that I didn't read your email. I do truly care about what you are saying and I know your life is busy and you took a moment out to write to me.

THANK YOU to all of you wonderful people out there that take the time to write me and say such nice things!

Picnic Basket with Bologna Sandwich Card

This is my new Picnic Basket box with Bologna Sandwich card! Now that the weather is getting nice my kids and I have been picnicking and it inspired me to make this project!
This great box is perfect to give a present in for any occasion! The box is approximately 4" x 6" x 3" tall so you can fit quite a bit inside it. The box is also great for little kids to play pretend with and go on a picnic! Both sides of the box top open and the sandwich card is about 5 1/2" square and opens by lifting the top piece of bread. Your message gets written right on the cheese!

Bridal Shower Card

I made this card for my girlfriends Bridal Shower that I went to this weekend. This is the same friend that I made the invitations for. You can CLICK HERE to see the wedding invites!

Totally Tool with Foil

I used the Totally Tool stamp set to make this card. I thought it would be great for Father's Day! I taped aluminum foil to cardstock and then put it through the Big Shot with the Texturz plates to make the background. The brads I got a long time ago at a craft store.

Ballerina Silhouette

My daughters ballet started again this week and inspired me to make this card.
I spent a long time making the silhouette shape perfect so I figured I might as well share the template with all of you! I printed it out on printer paper and traced it on Rose red paper. For the Tu-Tu, I just sewed a few stitches in the end of doubled over ribbon and scrunched them all together (Sorry the ribbon is non-SU). Then I wrapped the light pink ribbon around the top to secure it and hide the stitches, then trimmed the ends to the right shape. I used a combination of sticky tape and glue dots to keep it on. The background is done with the texturz plates and the Big Shot and the corners are made with the Tulipe die.

Cupcake Shaped Treat Cup & Card

This little cupcake treat cup is perfect to use as a goodie bag to give out to kids when they come to a birthday party. It would also be a great box to give a small present in or just to let kids play pretend with. The card works great as a birthday card, invitation to the party or thank you note for a present! It flips open and closed to see the inside.
You do not need the scallop circle dies to make this project. You can substitute them for regular circles.

Inspired by the Curly Label Punch

I made the frame for this card using the Curly Label Punch! I had so much fun making the border on my last card with this punch so I thought I would try this out, and it worked! I love when that happens.
I figured it would be nice to give you all the measurements so you could do it too, so here they are!

First cut a 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" piece of paper. On the back you are going to draw lines 5/16" in from every edge. You are going to line the edge of the punch up with the pencil lines when you go to punch. The punch is wider then it is long so you have to punch going in where the arrows are.

Punch in from both short ends twice, they will slightly overlap in the middle.

Now you will have this. You will punch in from the center of the long edge, centering the punch with the spaces you have already punched.

Do that on both sides and you have your frame!

For this card I used the Inspired by Nature stamp set with Pink passion, chocolate chip and the old olive markers. My border paper is a retired In-color, Purely Pomegranate. The other papers I used are Ivory, Kraft and Chocolate chip. I used the brown marker to edge the frame before I put it down. I also used the key chain Cutter Kit to rough up the edges.

Curly Label Medallion

I used white craft ink with the Medallion stamp set to make this card and also the Sale-a-bration Vintage Labels set. I also used the Movers and Shapers die with the Big Shot to make the white surround for the curly label punch and the sentiment.
To make the decorative edge on the Kraft paper I used the top of the curly label punch Like I have shown below. I drew a line with a pencil to keep it even and then just kept lining the punch up to make the edge!

Tulipe Baroque Motifs

I made this card using the baroque Motifs stamp set and the Tulipe and Top Note dies with the Big Shot. I'm a little obsessed with this Tulipe die...
I sponged the edges of the patterned paper that I used in the background and used markers to shade the Tulipe pieces that stick out from behind. The card is 5 1/2" square.

Tulipe Princess Crown - FREE TEMPLATE!

I made these crowns using the Tulipe die with the Big Shot. I thought this would be so cute for a little girls birthday or even for the invitations to a princess party!

Here is how I did it!

First print out the template. (I have been having a lot of problems with people getting the free templates on my site. If you have a problem, just email me and I will send it to you!)

Then cut the top of the template on the lines and put it on top of your tulipe die like shown.

You are going to put your paper on top of the lines where the card is on the template. Only put one side of the 11" x 4 1/4" card folded in half.

Pull the template paper out from under (making sure not to move your card) and run your card through the big shot, open so only one side gets cut.

Fold over you card and put the template top back over lined up with the edge.
Cut out both layers of your card to the top of the template. This is what you will have.

Then I put a paper glued to the inside.

I cut a small border around the top of the crown in the pink. I also added two more die cut swirls on the bottom corners.I added contraband non-Stampin' Up accents and was finished!

Top Note Lattice

I made this card using the Top Note die with the Big Shot with the Lattice die cut in the center. I cut the chocolate chip paper with scissors to make a border around the bottom of the top note shape so you can see the white paper that I taped on the inside of the card. I cut the top note shape out of the Rose red paper and then again out of the patterned paper that I taped back on top and then outlined. The happiness is from the Warm words stamp set.

Tulipe Pretties

I made this card using the Pretties Kit for the flower and center pearl and the Tulipe die with the Big Shot for the leaves and vines. I dyed the flower using the Very Vanilla craft ink and the center flower using the Bravo burgundy marker. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations.

Pop-out Beautiful Butterflies #2

Align Center

I used the Beautiful Butterflies die with the Big Shot to make this card as well as the Texturz plates and the Priceless stamp set. For the butterfly, I folded the paper in half and cut the largest butterfly. I then put it back through the die cutting the smaller half butterfly centered on each wing. This gives it the 3-D effect of the wings popping up. I used dimensionals to pop up the layers.

I used the medallion stamp in the center of the butterfly once it was punched and I used the marker and pretties for the antenna. I don't like the antenna very much but of course I did that last! I used dimensionals to pop up the layers of the wings.
This is the picture of the butterfly after I used the die cut.

Baby Shower Gifts

Align Center
I went to a Baby Shower yesterday and these were the gifts that I made. The barn stamp set is a very old retired stamp set that I really hope they come out with a new one just like it! The onesie images I drew on the computer and then printed them on T-shirt iron-on transfer paper. The girl who the shower was for, her husband is a cow farmer, hence the theme.
