Owl Punch Pear Card

Here is my Owl Punch Pear card! It was really simple to do but I will break down what I used.
I used the Owl Punch with Wild Wasabi card stock to make the shape for the pear. I cut off the feet and the ears. For the inner one (Very Vanilla), I just cut the feet and ears off and then cut a little bit off around the edges of the shape to make it smaller. The center white is the 1/2" Circle cut in half and the seeds are Chocolate Chip using the Cupcake Punch, its the flame from the candle! The stems are using the bird punch. Just cut a branch in Chocolate Chip and other in Wasabi, cut the leaves off and glue the Wasabi ones on. Then just cut the top leaf in the shape of a stem. The words are using the Billboard strip with the Big Shot. (I love these alphabet strip dies, they come in so handy all the time!)
My husband was not a fan on my wording for this, and thought it should say, "What a Pear!" or something like that. But of course he mentioned this after I had glued them on! Usually I ask his opinion before I glue it together... oh well!
I thought this would make a cute anniversary or wedding card.

I used the the Scallop Trim Border and Corner Punches for the fancy rectangle the pears are on. Then I just used the Simply Scored to emboss the line going around it. You can get the dimensions for using the Scallop Trim Border and Corner Punches HERE to make them line up perfectly.

Here is my Stampin' Up Demonstrator Owl card!
I made this for Convention as one of my swaps, I made over 100 of these little owl cards! I used my Owl Cards Addition templates to make her!
I just made the dress template in black and added the little pocket on the bottom. The stamp in her hand is just freehand cut. The Stampin' Up logo is from the Stampin' Up site and just printed out.
Here are some of the other cards below you can make using this template and tutorial.

Bad Day Owl Card

Ok, so here is a little more of my strange sense of humor. I think this card is hysterical!
I used the Owl Punch and added some fierce eye brows to make my owl look angry and had his word bubble swearing, the nice way of course. I would love to get this card if I was having a bad day or week, depending on how things are going! His wings are made using the Scallop Circle Punch.
The background is the Sweet and Sour Specialty DSP and I used the Big Shot with the 1" tall letters for the quote. The bottom says, "I'm here for you..." from the Occasional Quotes Hostess stamp set.

Punch Art Cooked Turkey

I have been doing a few punch art turkeys so I thought I would do a cooked one to add to the collection! I used the Bird, Owl and Modern Label punches to make this turkey and serving platter.

I used the Holiday Best stamp set in Soft Suede ink for the sentiment punched out of Very Vanilla paper with the large oval punch. I then layered two more large ovals behind it on the top and bottom with dimensionals. I have that taped to a Decorative Label punched out in Crumb Cake card stock with Soft Suede labels on the top and bottom again with dimensionals. On the right side and bottom I used 5/8" Victoria Crochet Trim ribbon with 1/2" strips of Soft Suede paper behind it to make it really stand out.

Here is how I made my punch art turkey:

I used the Bird Punch in Soft Suede card stock and then trimmed off the head and the tail.

I used the bird wing and then the foot from the Owl Punch in Very Vanilla to make the turkey leg.

I used the Modern Label punch cut in half for the serving platter and a tiny bit of string on the turkey leg tied in a bow.

Paper Flower Turkey

I made this turkey out of SU's paper flowers just like I made my BIRD card before. Someday I might even use these flowers as flowers on a card!
I used the Decorative Label punch with the large oval punch for the sentiment which is from the Holiday Best stamp set. The background paper is Woodland Walk.

Here is how I made my turkey:

I used the Owl Punch in Chocolate chip card stock for the body of the turkey. Then I just cut from the sides of the body up to the inside of the ears.

I cut three petals out of the largest flower and sponged it with Chocolate chip ink. When you are sponging the flowers, do it gently or else the petals will rip off.

I cut three petals out of the second largest flower and sponged that with Cajun Craze ink.

I used Dimensionals to layer the flowers under the body after they dried.

I used the 3/4" Circle Punch for the head and the eyes are from the Owl Punch. I used the smallest size flower sponged with Cherry Cobbler ink for the little feathers on the top of the head and the gobble on the beak. I punched out Pumpkin pie feet and glued them over the brown ones. The nose is cut with scissors and popped up with a Dimensional.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Owl Cards Addition

Here is my Owl Cards Addition Class!
This project has the same card template as the Owl Purse & Cards (except no template for the purse) with all new outfits!
This tutorial includes templates for all of the outfits shown here as well as templates to make the baby owls that I have previously posted pictures of on my site!
These would be great invitations for a Halloween party or for scrapbooking the photos afterwards. I thought the cheerleader would be perfect during football season as an invite to a watch game or for a Superbowl party! You can change up the outfit for any team!

( My husband is a Jets fan, can you tell?)

Owl Farmer - Loads of Love Card

Here is my Farmer Owl card! My sentiment is from the Loads of Love stamp set and I used the Decorative, Curly and Modern Label Punches to highlight it. The white is punched out of the curly label and the then I taped it to blue paper and just cut the border around it with scissors.
I made the hat and boots the same way I did my SHERIFF OWL and the overalls I just cut freehand.

My Sheriff Cowboy Owl Card

Here is my Sheriff Cowboy Owl Card! I love this owl punch! Here is how I made this card:

I used the Decorative Label punch to make the door in Soft Suede card stock. First I scored and inked it with a sponge. I then cut it in half and put in on another piece of paper and cut out around it with a scissors.

For the hat I used the large oval punch. I cut the little bumps into the top of one oval and cut the center section out of the other. Now the top looks like a hat when you overlap them.

I inked with a sponge and then taped the first oval to the back of my owl. The second oval I put on top with Dimensionals and two-way glue so it tips up at the brim.

The gun and star I cut freehand out of paper and the boots are just the middle sized eye circle cut in half. The background of the card is done with the Decor roller in Soft Suede ink on River Rock card stock.

Hope you like him! I wish I had a stamp that said, "Don't mess with the law!"

Owl Baby & Dolly Card

Ok, these are by far my favorite Owl Cards yet! I am having so much fun with my new Owl Purse & Cards template, I'm sorry to anyone who doesn't like owls! I will make something else soon, I promise!
I thought these would be so cute to give with a baby shower gift or as the shower invite! It would also make a great new baby announcement. I love the Two-Step Owl Punch baby doll owl she/he is holding and the pins on the diapers! Sometimes I just really amuse myself.
