I am such a proud Mama! Yesterday I was doing craft projects with my 9 nine year old daughter, Ashley. We were searching on Pinterest for fun stuff to do. Ashley saw a photo of something she wanted to do, and the directions were HERE on MY blog!! SO much fun. She followed the step-by-step directions that I had done years ago. So... not only did she follow my directions (with no help at all!), she changed it to make it better on her own!! So proud of this kid!!
On the original post I said to fold the ends to attach them. Instead Ashley just overlapped the ends flat and put a paper circle over them to hide the overlapping. Much easier and looks even better!!
Here is what I originally showed in my directions:
HERE is the link to the original post with the full directions!
I now have watercolor painting GIFT CERTIFICATES available and...
I made them using My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up!
This program is so great and easy to use, you can really make some beautiful stuff!
On another note... if you want to get a custom pet portrait, home painting or anything else for that hard to shop for person, but don't have a photo to go from... just get a gift certificate for the size painting that you want to give and they can choose the photo and order it themselves! You can order them for any size painting or value.
My painting "Put Out to Pasture" got accepted into the Vermont
Watercolor Societies SEABA Juried Awards Show. Last night I went to the opening night and...
I won SECOND PLACE out of the entire show!!!
I am so excited! My painting
will be shown there through June 28th as well as the rest of the show, which is great! If you are from the area, you can go see it at the South End Arts & Business Association building at 404 Pine Street in Burlington, Vermont.
I know this is not stamping... but I just had to share my early Mother's Day gift to myself. I made an indoor Fairy mini garden to put next to my painting/craft table! It is so cute! I put it in a bird cage house sort of thing with plastic in the bottom. In the photos I have the front lifted up, but it does close down so my cat won't dig everything up!
It's not totally finished yet, but I was too excited to share photos to wait. It will also have a little wooden door for the mushroom house, a stone path and a fence. I will post again once I have those added.
For those of you who don't know, my six year old daughter, Ashley, is a Type 1 Diabetic. We are doing a charity event to help find a cure for this disease. Click on the image to check it out! Thank you!
I am a stay at home mom with two kids who does architectural design. I have my own firm, Pratt Design, that I run from my house. I am also a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator that loves anything crafty! Enjoy my blog!
