FREE TEMPLATE Challenge - Two Free Kits of your choice

I wanted to come up with something fun for my site hitting 100,000 so here it is!! If you guys keep visiting me it should happen in the next few weeks so start this project right away!
I came up with a challenge that will end when my counter hits 100,000. The winner will get any TWO of my direction kit tutorials of their choice for FREE!
To win, you have to use this template for the heart topped box and do your best design work on it. Anything goes. You can change it around or decorate it anyway that your heart sees fit. Then just post your image and then link it up below and I will choose a winner that I think is the most creative and fun. Does that sound like fun?
CLICK HERE to get the pdf. of the template and get to work! Just print it right onto one piece of 8.5" x 11" paper and cut it out. The template fits exactly on 8.5" x 11" paper so you might have to set your printer to borderless printing, sometimes there is a photo option for this. make sure you do not scale it down when you print! The box should be 3" square and 1" deep.

Once you have finished your project, post it on your site and link ONLY THAT POST up with Mr. Linky below! Please do not just link your blog URL up, make sure you only link the post with the picture of your finished box.
An example, my site is http://stampndesign.blogspot.com but I linked my post http://stampndesign.blogspot.com/2010/01/template-challenge.html. You can get this URL by clicking on the title of your post so only that one is open. Thanks!

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! If you do not have a blog I think you can post your picture to a public site and link that address.
If you have posted your site and the link does not work, I will have to take it off. So if you have posted with Mr. Linky and then you don't see it there, just try again! I want to see them!

Ribbon Frame

I made this for challenge #52 for the Late Night Stampers Group, which was to do something good with ribbon. This is a great group, if you want to see about joining CLICK HERE!
I used the Smarty Pants stamp set which I love and just wrapped a cut out cardstock circle frame with ribbon. Where the ends met I put the bow over it. So simple!

Simply Said Pop-Up Card

Front

Inside

I thought I would go back to the good old pop-up card. I have not done one of these in awhile and they are so easy. I had the Simply Said stamp set out and I have not used this in forever so I thought; might as well use it again!
Stamp sets used:
Fundamental Phrases
Simple Said
Holiday Best
The colors are Pretty in Pink and Real Red. The stems are Always Artichoke and Certainly Celery.
All you have to do is cut two parallel slits in your paper where you want it to pop up and just fold it opposite of the card. Then just stick on your image you want to be popped up at the top of the piece sticking up. I put white paper behind the slits so the red card base would not show through there.

Ribbon Butterflies

These butterflies are made out of grosgrain ribbon with twine tied in a knot for the antennas. I did melt the edges of the ribbon over a candle so they would not fray. The frame is the scallop frame with the Big Shot and the stamp set is Simply Said. So simple to do and so cute! The paper is the Bride specialty DSP with Regal Rose sponged over it. I love this paper!
I saw this idea on Splitcoast and lost the person that it came from, then I just found her again! here name is Heather Van Duker CLICK HERE to see her ribbon butterfly card.

Sponge Storage

I just thought that I would share what I came up with for sponge storage. This is one of those plastic bead storage boxes with a lid. I used the tab punch for the color labels and just bent them so the lid will still close. I always have a pile of my sponges and I have to keep washing them because I don't know which ones are dirty and if it was red vs. dark pink or dark blue vs. black. This is much easier and keeps them from rubbing off on clean stuff!

Punch Art Conductor

My father's birthday is this weekend and I bought him tickets to the symphony for us to go to. I made him this card to go with it. I can't wait to give it to him, it's a surprise so if you know my Dad, don't tell him!
The main body is the wide oval with the star punch cut out to make the tails, the legs and music stand are the tag punch. The violin is the tab punch. The music notes are brads with the slot punch.
Here is the violin that I made for the inside. Kind of guitar-ish but I figure with the bow he will be able to figure it out.

Punch Art Stamper

I decided I needed a clock for my stamp room(really my dining room) and thought I needed a stamper girl on it. I got a lot of the parts from Ellen Kemper's UPS Santa so I have to give her most of the credit. If you want to see her UPS man CLICK HERE, it's great!
I had to put the Stampin' apron on her of course and give her some good shoes too. The apron is the large and small tag punches and the neck strap is the large oval punched out of the wide oval with some trimmed off the edges. Her hips are the butterfly punch as well as her shoes.

Here is the finished clock.

And here is how I did the shoes.
Half of the butterfly with 3/4" circle punched out for the heel and 1 3/8" circle punched out for the top of the shoe.

Then a little bit snipped out to make the heel a little better.

And small ovals for feet.

Olivia the Ribbon Caterpillar

I made this caterpillar for my daughter this morning. She is made of 5/8" grosgrain ribbon (8") and small beads from the pretties kit. The hearts are from the heart to heart punch. Ashley(my daughter) has named her Olivia and she is our new pet! Just thought I would share since Ashley likes her so much.

A Big Ol' Bear Hug

I thought I would do a Valentine bear hug card. Once I did it I realized it would be great for anything for kids and bear lovers too! Who doesn't need a great big ol' bear hug once in a while?

I used the scallop circle #2 die with the big shot. This is the one that has two scallop circles on it.
The mouth is the wide oval and the paws and inside of the ears are the 1" circle punch. Eyes are 3/4" circle white with 1/4" circle black. Nose is 1/2" circle. Heart is from the heart to heart punch. The sentiment is from the All Holiday stamp set.
For the arms I cut a close to cocoa piece 11" x 2 3/4" and scored it at 3 3/8" and 7 5/8".

Then I just cut out the shape to make the arms, it doesn't have to be perfect, you get the idea. I sponged all the edges and popped up the layers with dimensionals to add some dimension to him.

My card is standard size and does not open, however with the ears sticking out it will not fit in a standard envelope.
