Convention Late Night Stampers WOW Demo - Just Believe

I am away in Utah at the Stampin' Up Convention right now and I am demoing this technique!

There are two techniques that I used to make this card. One is the reflection on water or mirroring technique and the second part are the paper buttons!

I have written up a
FREE tutorial for all those of you who will not see my demonstration at the Late Night Stampers Saturday night WOW event after Convention.

Convention Swap #4 Mother Goose Shoe

I am away in Utah at the Stampin' Up Convention right now and swapping these cards!

The Mother Goose shoe house is one of the swaps that I made for convention this year, from the ‘There was an old woman who lived in a shoe…” rhyme.
I thought it was pretty cute and then I started thinking of all the other things that I could make out of my shoe template!
I have put together a mini tutorial (mini because there are not pictures for every step like usual) for those of you who couldn’t be there to swap with me or want to make the different versions of the card!
I have come up with four different cards that you can make from the same template! Here they all are! If you change them around, send me a picture, I would love to see what you come up with!
You can make it into the shoe house, an ice skate, a Christmas stocking or a hiking boot!

Here is the FREE mini tutorial for this project!

Convention Swap #3 Wedding Card

I am away in Utah at the Stampin' Up Convention right now and swapping these cards!

I thought I would make a simplified version of my Wedding card with the Bride and Groom's outfits on it. Again this is a simplified version because I made 80 of these! After putting all the little silver brads through the holes and opening the backs my finger was bleeding!
My swap is slightly different then the original so I could get them all done in time. To simplify the dress I made it a little smaller and without the front extra pieces and I used the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder with the Big Shot for the texture.

Here is a picture of all my swaps in the simplified version!

Convention Swap #2 Bee Awning Card

I am away in Utah at the Stampin' Up Convention right now and swapping these cards!

I have seen a bunch of these awning cards around and loved them so I thought I would make one for my convention swaps! I used the Just Buzzin' By stamp set to make this card and here is how I did it!

-The awning is 2" x 4 1/4" scored at 3/8" and 1 1/4" in from one long side. It is made out of out of More Mustard cardstock. I punched the end that is 3/4" wide with the scallop edge punch to make it look like the edge of an awning. I used a More Mustard marker to draw the lines.

-The base is Chocolate chip cardstock that is 4 1/4" x 2 3/4" scored at 2". I also used the Scallop edge punch for this.

-My background paper is Very Vanilla and the standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card size and I used the Just Buzzin' By stamp set for the bees and the saying. I stamped the honey pot image on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut it out. It is popped up with a Dimensional.

Here is a picture of my 100 awning cards that I made! That was a lot of honey pots to cut out and bees to color!! Let alone all of the scallop edge punching!
Hope you like it!

Convention Swap #1 Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head

I am away in Utah at the Stampin' Up Convention right now and swapping these cards!

I thought I would make a simplified version of my Potato Head family as one of my swaps for convention. I made a simplified version because I made 100 of them! Yup, that's right, 50 girls and 50 boys! That was lots of eyes and shoes to cut, let alone mustaches! In the tutorial I give directions for all of the simplified parts as well as the more complex ones shown in the photo above. Below is a photo of the ones that I swapped and a picture of all my Potato People together. My kids wanted to play with them all so bad!
