Faith in Nature Vintage

Here is my Faith in Nature card that I did for a vintage swap at convention. I love how this card came out!
Here is how I did it!
My main card is Soft Suede card stock cut to 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” folded in half. I used the Very Vintage roller in Soft suede ink over it and sponged the edges.
Next is a Very Vanilla 4” x 5-1/4” piece also with the roller on it. I tore random pieces off the edges and then sponged them.
I used the Lace Ribbon Border Punch (I love this punch!) on Wild Wasabi card stock. You need about a 4” x 1-1/4” strip to punch. I trimmed only three of the full doily circles, rounding the edges out of the strip after I punched it and sponged the edges.
I used the Cutter Kit key chain on the edges of a Soft Suede 2-3/4” x 3-1/2” piece and sponged the edges. This went on with Dimensionals.
Then I used a 2-3/4” x 3-1/2” piece of River Rock card stock, stamped the pear from the Faith In Nature Hostess set and then tore off the edges of the paper and sponged them.
I stamped the pear again on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and then cut out just the pear. I sponged the bottom edges with Wild Wasabi ink and put this on with Dimensionals.

And yes, it took forever to make all of these! I made about 50!

Mommo's Christmas Swap from Convention

Here is another of my Moms swaps from Convention. The front of the card is soft suede 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” with the Soft Holly roller rolled over in in soft suede ink. She used the circle cutter to cut a 3” circle out of a real red piece of paper and then cut a 3-1/2” circle around it to get the small circle frame. Cut a 3” circle out of the center of your suede front piece and tape it on a full white card. Stick the red circle frame on the top. This front is taped it a whisper white folded card base.
A Christmas Postcard stamp is stamped on the inside of the circle and colored in with chalks and markers.
The bells on the front are stamped with the Bells and Boughs stamp set, cut out and colored in with markers. The sentiment is stamped on white and punched with the large oval punch and then backed with a Real Red scallop oval punch. Both things are put on front with Dimensionals.

Mommo's Convention Shoebox Swap

This is my moms shoebox swap 3-D project that she did for one of the LNS events at Convention ( which we leave for in two days!).
Here is how she did it:
The outside circles are the Scallop Circle #2 die cut with the Big Shot (the larger scallop). The center white is 2” circle, the red is the 2-1/2” circle punch and the suede is a 3” circle. The image is rolled in real red ink using the builder wheels School Colors, For Teacher and Elementary Alphabet. The bow is ¼” grosgrain Real Red ribbon.
The hinge used is a 1-1/2” square white paper that is scored at ¾” and 1”. On the inside are two more 3” circles in Soft Suede card stock, a small post-it note pad and a loop of paper to hold a small pencil.
To make the apple, use the Tab Punch out of whisper white card stock with the edges sponged with soft suede ink. Punch another tab in red and use the scallop edge punch to make the edges look bitten out of. Put 4 chocolate chip marks in the center for seeds with a marker and put Crystal Effects over them to look shiny.
These would be great for gifts or little party favors!

Sunhat & Sunglasses

I made this hat and glasses for a Sunhat decorating contest for the Stampin’ Up 2011 Convention. I thought it was so much fun to do, I wrote the tutorial for it!
These would be great to make for a stamping group or to have a contest for best decorated hat or glasses. You could also make them for an event to wear for fun!

Little Girl Candy Wrapper Treat Box

Here is my Little Girl Candy Wrapper Treat Box that I did for a shoebox swap for one of the Late Night Stamper Events before Convention!

I thought these would be adorable for birthday parties or baby shower favors when you know it’s a girl. They would look so cute sitting at each seat!

Here is how I made them:
I used the Candy Wrapper die cut for the Big shot in So Saffron card stock.
The girls head is Blushing Bride card stock punched with the 2-1/2” Circle punch(for this one I cheated and used Blush Blossom card stock, I’m still sad that’s gone!).
I punched another 2-1/2” circle out of So Saffron card stock and cut it above the half mark. I cut slits in the paper to make the bangs and then cut the bottom slightly uneven.
The eyes are ¾” circles in white, ½” circles in Marina Mist and the circle from the punch pack in black.
The nose and mouth are drawn in with marker and I used 13” of ¼” Pretty in Pink Grosgrain ribbon to tie each “pigtail”.
You can change out the color of the box and bags for different colors of hair!
Stay tuned for more Convention fun!

Mommo's Twisted Easel Swap from Convention

Here is my moms Twisted Easel card that she did for a Fancy Folds swap at Convention.
The main card is 4” x 8” Pacific Point card stock folded in half. The front of the card is folded at a diagonal going from one corner to another. When you put the white 3-1/2” square on the front, make sure you only stick it onto the bottom section of the front. You do not want it to be stuck to the top half of the diagonal front. This you will need to turn to have the card open. The front Pacific Point is a 3” square. Stamped on the front is the Serene Snowflake embossed in silver. On the inside is a 3-3/4” x 1-1/4” white strip card stock with z pacific point 1” x 3-1/2” strip with the sentiment embossed in Silver.
When you open the card you just twist the top and stick it behind the inside strip, and it sits up just like an easel card!

Mommo's Swap from Convention

Here is one of my moms general swaps from Convention. The main card base is 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” folded in half out of sahara sand cardstock. The white is 4” x 5-1/4” and embossed with the tulips embossing folder. She cut a 3-1/8” x 1” strip of white and used the Take a Sip roller to go over it, colored it in, and then taped it on the bottom of the card. The Sahara sand square in the middle is 2-3/8”. The pretty in pink square is 2-1/8”. The white square in the center is 2” with the Morning Cup teacups stamped on it. Happy birthday is stamped in the center.

Mommo's Swap from Convention

Here is another of my moms swaps from Convention. The base is an Old Olive 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” piece folded in half. Then a 4” x 5-1/4” Chocolate Chip piece in the center of the front. Each small flap is 1-1/2” x 3” folded in half. The center piece is 3-3/4” x 1-1/2”. The birdcage from the Nature Walk stamp set is stamped and embossed in silver. Other stamps from the same set are stamped in Chocolate chip and old olive ink. All the edges are sponged in chocolate chip.
I love the little flaps on this card! You could write a different little message in each one!

Scallop Circle Award Pin- FREE Tutorial

Here are the Scallop Circle pins that I made for Convention this year. I made about 150 of the small ones to swap this year! I also used this tutorial for my 3-D Tutorial Swap that I organized. The Melon Mambo ones are the name tags for everyone who participated in my swap!

I made the big pin to give to Shelli and another one similar for me to wear.
For the fringe on these I just used a 1" x 8-1/2" strip of black paper. I put it through my crimper and then cut slits going across one half of it. I scrunched up the crimped side close together so it would go around in a circle and lay flat. Then I just glued it between the large scallop part and the white circle.
Here is the printable tutorial for this project!

Mommo's Convention 3"x3" Swap

Here is my moms 3" x 3" swap from Convention. The main card is 3”x 6” folded in half out of Sahara Sand card stock. Then there is a Tangerine Tango 2-3/4” square on top with a 2-1/2” very vanilla square that is embossed with the lattice embossing folder. A small strip of Tangerine goes across the center.
The words are stamped with Teeny Tiny wishes and then punched out with the jewelry tag punch. A small pearl is on the end of it. The center image is stamped and then punched out with the wide oval punch.

Beer Card - FREE Template!

Here is the Beer Card that I made for a masculine swap at Convention. This card would be great for any type of picnic or adult party, or a great guy card for any occasion!

You can download the FREE template to make this card HERE!
Here is how I made this card:
-I cut the main card base using the template out of Whisper White card stock. I gently sponged the edges with Bashful Blue ink to give it the look of glass.
-To make the card open, you cut out a second white glass shape and score it about ½” from the top. Put glue above the fold and line up the two cards. When you open the card, the top will stay together and it will open on the fold. This way you do not have to have a flat top.
-The beer part is cut out of So Saffron card stock and then I sponged the edges with More Mustard ink to give it the look of beer.
-The foam on top is Very Vanilla card stock also sponged very lightly with More mustard ink.

Your beer card is done!
