Coors Light Ornament
Baby Shower Gifts
Four of my good friends are all expecting little girls this February. We are having a brunch for them this weekend and these are the gifts that I made. I had to wait to post them in case someone looked on my blog! All of them live in the same town so all the little girls will grow up together. I thought some matching outfits with hair clips would be cute to get pictures together when they are all tiny so I made four of each. The card above is using Just Buzzin By.
Below is the onesie that I made using the butterfly die cut on felt and of course the matching butterfly hair clip out of ribbon.
Here is the second onesie that I made using fabric and the matching little bee hair clip.
And matching shirts for the two older brothers of one of the baby girls.I can't wait to have the baby girls arrive to see them all dressed up!

The Nutcracker
My husband took me to see The Nutcracker the night he asked me to marry him. He asked me after the show (at the top of the Prudential Building in Boston) but while we were there I bought this ornament so obviously it is one of my favorites. I saw a great card on Carrie Gaskins' site and I thought I would do my own nutcracker off of my ornament. I'm not so fond of the proportions, I think I need to spend a little longer on it but I love hers! CLICK HERE to see her card. Below is my little ornament that I got that night.
The main punches that I used were word window for the arms and legs, the 1 3/8" circle for the head and the scalloped oval for the hair. Everything else I just played around with as I went.

More Polar Bears
I just had to make more of these polar bears! I made this card for my husband. I thought it would be cute for Valentine's Day too.

Gift Card Sled Ornament
I saw a gift card holder sled on the My Creative Place blog. If you want to see the sled on her site CLICK HERE.
I like hers much more then mine, I definitely should have spent a little more time on the details. I am away visiting my mom and have been with all the kids instead!
For the flower I used the Boho Blossoms Punch and the Five Petal Flower punch.
Here is how I made my runners so they would be sturdy.
Dual Border Snowflake
I saw this border done on Debbie Henderson's blog and I thought it was a great new technique. I don't know if I really like what I came up with for it but I like the border! You can view how to make it on her site by CLICKING HERE.
Mine is done with Serene Snowflakes and Four the Holidays stamp sets.

Polar Bears
I saw these punched polar bears on Laura Lipe's blog and had to sit right down and make some. They are so cute! If you want to see hers, CLICK HERE.
For the mom, I used the ornament punch for the head, 1/2" circle for the ears and wide oval for the body. The snout is the large oval cut down.
For the baby I used the 1" circle for the head, small oval cut down for the nose and the large oval for the body. All of the pieces are roughed up using the key chain kit and sponged with going gray. The background paper is bordering blue and the snow is also sponged with this color as well as the background. I used craft white with Serene Snowflakes for the background and Four the Holidays for the greeting in Bravo Burgundy.
Thanks for the inspiration Laura!

Voila' Santa
I have seen a bunch of people use the Voila' stamp set to make a Santa. They are so cute I just had to try one! My daughter calls him Santa Cooker.
The belt is just drawn on as well as the white at his ankles. I made the mustache thicker with the black pen and colored it in with the white gel pen. It takes a few layers to hide the black. The beard is drawn on a separate paper and glued on, same with the bag.
Princess Crown
My mother came up with this Princess crown for my daughter so they could have tea together. They read a book about having tea with the queen and the queen ended up being the grandmother. (This story is called Tea with Ruby and came out of the Cheerio's box!) My mother sent Ashley an invitation to tea with the queen and they got all dressed up and had tea (orange juice) on fancy china. My mother came up with this crown so they would have them to wear when they ate. Ashley brought her own with her but my mom is wearing the one she made. I changed the dimensions around a bit but here it is! So easy and would be great for a little girls birthday party for all the kids to wear.
Here is them having tea together.
I used an 8 1/2" x 11" paper but I would suggest using 12 x 12 just in case your childs head is any bigger. This one fits Ashley but she is only 4. You are going to cut in from one long side 3 3/4" inches so you have 3 3/4"x11"(or 12"). From the other side you are going to go in 3 3/4" and score it and then cut at 4 3/4". So 4 3/4" x 11"(or 12") scored 1" in from a long edge. The one with the flap will be the front piece and the other will fit inside to make the crown adjustable. The little folded flap also makes the crown much more rigid.
On the bottom of the piece with the flap up, you are going to use the ornament punch. Line up the point with the bottom of the paper and the edge with the side.
Do another one right beside it, this is what it will look like.
Loads of Love Christmas Tree
I found another blog with an inspiration picture that I really liked and thought I would play along. It is the Pals Paper Holiday Photo Inspiration Challenge. If you want to see the inspiration picture, CLICK HERE.
My card is with the Loads of Love stamp set. The ribbon is the 1/4" red grosgrain cut in half with the ends singed so it won't fray. I couldn't find anything else small enough! The paper is the ivory paper and soft suede, all sponged of course!
