Butterfly Frame

I got this adorable little shadow box frame at the dollar store for $2! I used the Beautiful Wings embosslit with the Big Shot for the butterflies and some old rub-ons for the frame.

Fabric Paint and the Big Shot!

We had another Green Mountain Stamper's meeting this past Saturday under my upline Jennifer Heffernan. We have swaps and demonstrations and some of the ladies bring in samples of their work to share. This is a great group to be a part of! Carrie Wilson demonstrated a great new technique today(She is the one that demonstrated the scallop circle flower.)
The technique uses Freezer paper to make a stencil using punches or the big shot to use on fabric!
This is very easy to do, here is how:
Get some freezer paper at the supermarket. It has to be freezer paper because it only has the wax on one size. Cut it out using the punches or die cuts that you want to use just like you would paper.

Instead of using the cut out piece, you are going to use the outside as a stencil. Put it where you want it to go on your fabric and then iron it down. Make sure that the shiny side is down.

Now using fabric paint and a paint brush, paint it in just like a stencil.

While it is still wet, peel off the stencil and you have your perfect shape!!

I put a bunch more around it to get the final image.
Here is the one using the 2 step bird punch with the scallop circle die cut with the big shot. This is the die cut with the medium and small scallop circles on it.
This is just showing the two sides of the paper. Remember you want the shiny side down when you iron.

Iron it on.

Cutout the scallop with the die cut out of freezer paper.

Iron it around the bird and tree branch.

Paint it in.

The end result!

Penguins!

This little stuffed penguin is my daughters current favorite toy. I just wanted to share the card that my Mother-in-law made for Ashley for St. Patrick's Day with punches. So cute!

Three card party!

I thought I would share the cards that I made at my downline, Becky Nelson's, three card party from last week. I thought they were all really cute. I love making cards that I don't have to design or cut the paper for!!

Wedding Invitations!

I have to apologize for my minimal postings this past week. I went on vacation with my husband and have been working on my girlfriends wedding invitations! I am finally all finished with 105 invites! Here they are!
They were a surprise that I finished them early so I had to wait to post them until I gave them to her! It was also a surprise that they were for her wedding present so I framed one.

They don't look as big in the picture but that took up most of my table!

In the plastic bin to give to her!!

Spring Tulips

I got inspired from THIS CARD from Chera Weist and just had to make it my own. Here is my version! Thanks Chera!
The vase is made from the ornament punch and the tulips are using the small oval punch. The leaves are the Little Leaves die cut with the Big Shot. My die cut letters are the same size and style as the Timeless Type die cut alphabet.
The ribbon is the white satin ribbon (which I just got yesterday and I love!) and the stamps are from the Priceless stamp set.

Learn to Tell Time Clock Game

This project is fun and easy to do and a great way to teach kids how to tell time! Just roll the dice and they have to make the clock say what time they rolled. You can also use this clock base to make into a real clock by adding the battery component to the back!
You have the option to print out the clock with numbers or without so if you don't have number stamps or die cuts, don't worry!

Top Note Animal Puppets

I cased these little animals from the Procrastistamper blog and made them into puppets for my kids. Here is Ashley with her new puppets.

I used the Fancy Favor bag to make the puppet and just folded it like a paper bag.
Here are the links for the animals she has on her site. They are so cute!
Raccoon
Bunny
Koala
Fox
Turtle
Panda
Mouse- (really a bunny but if you do it in gray it would be perfect!)

St. Patrick's Day Elephant!

I saw THIS elephant and I just had to case him. Soo cute! I thought I would make him into a St. Patrick's Day Elephant with a baby! I think I like them better from the back though, if anyone comes up with a better face for him, send it to me!
Here are the parts:
Mom:
head- 1 3/8" circle
body- 1 3/4" circle
feet- 3/4" circle
tail- 1" circle
arm-1" circle
trunk- wide oval
clover - heart-to-heart punch

Baby:
head- 1 1/4" circle
body- 1 3/8" circle
feet- 1/2" circle
tail- 1" circle
arm-1" circle
trunk- wide oval
This also uses the Welcome Neighbor DSP.

Kind Thoughts Brocade Stencil

I used the Kind Thoughts Brocade small stencil to make these. I got inspired after seeing a great card on the Ink It Up, Ect. blog.
I used a sponge to put on the ink and then used my brayer to put the black on over. It doesn't fill in as much as the pink because of the thickness of the stencil so it only fills in the center. I thought it gave a nice effect.
