Scallop Circle Punch Flower

The flower on this card uses the scallop circle punch. This is the flower that Pam Tatko, a fellow demonstrator, demonstrated at our last team meeting. You can see the rest of the cards from that meeting by CLICKING HERE! I also used the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set for the background.

Here is how to make the flower!

Put a piece of paper that is large enough to punch out two scallop circles through your crimper. Keep putting it through while changing the direction each time. You will want to soften up the paper.


Now crumple and un-crumple the paper a few times. Keep doing this until you see the edges starting to come apart into layers. Do it a few more times and then you are ready to peel it. Pull the two layers of paper apart carefully.


Using the scallop circle punch, punch out 4 single layer circles. Stack them up and poke a hole through the center and put a brad through all four layers.


Now one layer at a time, scrunch up the layers until you have your flower. Now it is ready for your card!


For the leaves on the card I used the five petal flower punch. That time I punched the flowers first and then crimped them and crumpled them and peeled the already punched shape apart. This was a little easier then punching the crumpled paper but you will have more of them to do. It's up to you!
