Texturz Wedding Dress

I used the Texturz plate on very vanilla paper and then cut it to look like a wedding dress. Also used the Pretties kit on this, such a nice container of stuff that is. Died the flower with vanilla craft ink. Wow, today has been a busy stamping day!

Sweet Treats Turkey

I love these Sweet Treat cups. Here is my little Turkey friend. The large oval is a non-SU punch that you could use a die cut for, but the others are:
colored feathers - large oval
brown feathers - scallop circle
hole for treat cur - 1 3/4" circle punch
I have seen the snowflake punch used for the feet but I don't have it.

Mousie Wedding

It had to be done. I love these little guys! I don't think I like them as well with eyes but it seemed appropriate to have their eyes open while they got married! She needs to be a little prettier I think...

Mousie Thanksgiving

So... I think I'm obsessed with this little mouse. I just needed to make him eating some Thanksgiving turkey! Check my other mouse post to see the pieces to make him. Soon, I might need a little girlie mouse to be his friend...

Razzleberry Paper Flower

This is my paper flower. I saw this video tutorial and just had to try it (Not my tutorial). Not too bad for my first try! This is the five petal flower punch. Also the vase is the ornament punch, I love that punch!

Acorn Ornament Punch Card

This acorn card is made using punches!
I love the ornament punch which is the main body of the acorn. For the top, you need two punches. First you punch out half of the large oval on the edge of a piece of paper, then using the wide oval punch you punch around it. This is the piece that you will use for the top. Refer to the picture below. You will not use the bottom piece from the large oval punch.

The leaves are from the Leaves#2 Die Cut with scores for the veins using the cutter kit keychain. This was also used to rough up the edges of the paper. I love this tool!

Christmas Carol Mouse

I saw this mouse on Ellen Kemper's site and I just had to play around with him! He is so cute! I made mine a carolling Christmas mouse. This little guy is all punches so I will tell you whats what. Sorry, no time for step by step pictures today.

Ears - butterfly punch - cut in half gives you 2 ears
Head - ornament punch
Body - wide oval
Mouth - small oval punch with end cut down
Nose - small heart in Heart to Heart punch with a little trimmed off the point
Feet - 3/4 inch circle punch - cut in half gives you 2 feet
Arms/hands - small oval punch - cut in half gives you 2 arms, folded to make the hand holding toe carols
Hat brim - scallop oval punch using one of the curved ends
red part of hat - square punch with a little trimmed off
Pom pom on hat - could use the trio flower punch but I don't have it
Cookies - wide oval and then cut down a little again
Choc. chips - end of small heart from the Heart to Heart punch
Tail - cut free hand using the wide oval punch to go around
Tooth - freehand
Carol book - freehand
Plate - freehand

Birdhouse Ornament

Looking around the internet I have seen a couple of these Birdhouse Ornaments. I new I just had to try my own version of one. I tend to never do anything halfway so I ended up writing the entire tutorial to do it!! I have also made a template for you to print out for the main house so you don't have to measure!

Make sure you print the birdhouse template with no scaling, do not print to 'fit to page'. It is the right size for the project already.

Ornament Holder Pop Up Box

This is my Ornament Holder Box, I have also seen it called an origami pop up box. I had seen it using 12" x 12" paper and wanted to make it smaller to fit on an 8 1/2" x 11" paper. Inspired by Nature with Black Magic Technique

Black Magic Technique

I have seen a bunch of cards with images stamped on black or dark cardstock that really show up good. I finally figured out how to do it!
The technique is called black magic and it is really easy.

What you will need:
dark cardstock
Whisper White craft ink #101731
Watercolor Pencils #101879
(I think the Watercolor Crayons work as well)

First stamp your image in whisper white craft ink on your dark cardstock. Let it dry completely!

Color in your image with the watercolor pencils or crayons.


Then just use it on your card as desired! It's that easy!

Paper clips

To make:
Just stamp the ornament of your choice, then punch it out, you will need 6. Fold each ornament shape in half and glue sides together so all six are taped together in a circle. The paper clip goes in the middle held in with mini glue dots. To make the red and white one I punched the ornament out of the DSP and then made a larger one in white with the movers and shapers die. Then fold them in half and taped/glued together, and attach all the sides together like the other one. Put the paper clip in the middle with glue dots before you close up the last side. Add some ribbon for decoration to the paper clip and add some string or ribbon to hang! So simple!

Medallion Wreath Marquee Reveal!

I saw Jan Tink's blog about how to make the marquee card and I couldn't wait to sit down and mess around with it! What a great idea!!
Here is my altered version of her idea with the medallion stamp set made into a Christmas Wreath. And of course what would go in the middle but my son's Christmas picture!
I will post my directions and measurements to this as soon as I can. My overall measurement of the red paper is 6 3/4" to give you a starting place if you can't wait!

Folded Star Ornament(2)

This is a very easy way to make a perfect star every time without measuring!
I used Serene Snowflakes(#115438) from the 2009-2010 Holiday Mini Catalog and Brocade Blue ink.

Directions for the fold:
You can start with whatever size paper you want for this. The star will be significantly smaller then the paper you start with.

Fold the paper in half. (folds to make are shown in black)


Fold top right corner(A) over to bottom left corner(A)



It will look like the image below.
Then you will fold the right edge A to meet the left edge A, folding on the black line I have drawn for help.


It will now look like the picture below.
You will then fold the top left flap over the back to match up with the triangle that you already have.


It will look like the photo below. you will then cut on the black line. The top part will unfold to be the star. Depending on how steep you cut that diagonal line will make your star points steeper or more stubby.

This is what the unfolded star will look like.

I then just folded the peaks and valleys to look like below

I stamped the serene snowflakes middle sized flake in the center with brocade blue.

Then just edged with a sponge in blue.

Last I used the crop-o-dile and put a brad in and added the string to hang! So simple!

Punched Thanksgiving Pie

I saw this punched pie on Andrea Waldorf's blog and I just had to try it! Mine is slightly different from hers but what a great idea!

Supplies Needed:

Stamps:
Celebrate everything(#114942)

Paper:
ruby red
so saffron
more mustard
chocolate chip
creamy caramel
going gray
whisper white

Ink:
Chocolate chip

Accessories:
scallop oval punch(#114889)
wide oval punch(#112082)
horizontal slot punch(#105089)
circle cutter
Scallop circle #2 big shot die

white gel pen

Directions:

To make weaved background start with a so saffron and ruby red piece of paper, each about 4"x5.25".

Cut strips of paper out of both of them as thick as you want your weave to be. Cut one horizontally and the other vertically. Mine are 3/8" wide.

Weave one paper through all the others and glue all the ends together so it will be easier to weave the rest through.

Then just one at a time weave the paper through over and under, opposite each time.

Once I got them all through I glued all of the edges so it would stay together, then trimmed the excess. I did it a little uneven so it didn't look too perfect.

Next punch out a piece of creamy caramel paper with the scallop oval. Put it inside the wide circle punch and punch off the top of it to make the top of the pie shape. See below.

Cut a choc. chip rectangle 1.75"x 1" or so, does not have to be exact. Put it in the wide oval punch and round one of the long sides.

Then cut the sides at an angle so they look like the base of the pie. Below is what the pieces should look like. You will also need a large oval out of going gray.

Out of ruby red you are going to punch 4 pieces using the horizontal slot punch. Then with a scissors I angled the ends of one side.

All off the pie pieces got edged with chocolate chip ink using a dauber.
Then with the white gel pen I added a little extra detail like below.

Glue the top onto your pie and all the pieces together like in the photo.

I used the scallop circle die and the big shot to get the large more mustard scallop circle and then the circle cutter to cut the white inner circle.

I stamped celebrate with chocolate chip ink on white paper and edged it with choc. chip. I also used the dauber on the weave to make it look a little more distressed.

Then you just stick it all together!
