I Hit 100,000 Blog Hits!!

Hooray, hooray! My counter hit 100,000 hits today! I will announce the winner to the heart topped box contest later tonight. Thank you to all of you for visiting my blog, I have had this site for under three months and it already hit 100,000 so I am pretty excited!

Green Mtn Stampers Monthly Meeting

I had a meeting this morning hosted by my upline, Jen Heffernan, from the Green Mountain Stampers. We have this meeting once a month and Jen has three make-n-takes for us to do and we all make cards to swap. There are also usually two demonstrations to show us new things that other people have come up with.
If anyone is looking to become a demonstrator, this is a great group to be a part of! Even if you live far away, Jen sends an email summarizing the whole meeting with directions to some of the projects and you can even do a long distance swap!
Here are some of the swaps that all the women swapped today. I didn't post them all since there were a lot but I wanted to share a few.

Here is one by the wonderfully talented Marti Jurnak

Martha Kenfield

Tonya Ditzler

Angela Farrar

Kealey

Rachael Ellison

Heather Seeley

Shanti Mckenna

Carrie Wilson- She was one of the demonstrations today and showed how to make this flower. She told me I could post the directions so
CLICK HERE for the link to make this flower!

Here are the cards that we made at the meeting today. The top one is Jen's sample and I did mine a little different so I wanted to post them both.
It was a great meeting like always, thanks again Jen!

Ice Cream Cones

I saw these ice cream cones somewhere and just had to try them. I wish I could give someone credit but where I saw them didn't know where she copied them from!
I did the top one for the Stamping 411 challenge. CLICK HERE to see the site and the challenge. It was to use melon mambo, pretty in pink and old olive. These are some of my favorite colors so I thought I would try it.
For the saying on the top card I used the All holidays and Holiday best stamp sets with the stamp-a-ma-jig. For the second card it is a retired set called Yummy. I used the texture plates for the cone and the scallop circle punch for the ice cream and just cut the bottoms to look like drips. The heart to heart punch is for the sprinkles.

My mothers Heart Topped Box entry!

My Mom doesn't have a blog of her own and she wanted to enter the heart shaped box challenge so I am going to post her entry on mine! She just emailed me these pictures, so creative! I love it! Go Mommo! Her name is Gerry Dyer and she lives in CT. If anyone lives in that area and wants to go to some great card classes let me know!
(Of course she gets all the tutorials anyway since she's my mom so someone else will still win!)

Pop-Up Valentine Piggy card

So... I had to try another one of these great cards. CLICK HERE to see all about where I found the template for these great pop-up cards!
I had to make my piggy holding a Valentine heart of course! The LOVE YOU is from Fundamental Phrases and punched out with the word window punch. His nose holes are with the slot punch and eyes are the 1/4" circle punch.

Castle Pop-Up Card!

The Front

The Inside!

The Inside Close up
This is my pop-up castle card that I made today. I think it would be great for a wedding, anniversary or Valentine's Day, basically anything to do with love! However I can not take credit for coming up with how to make this. I found the greatest site today! The site is by Robert Sabuda and he has templates to make amazing pop-up cards. They are all for free! Everyone has to check this out and try these. I am dying to see more of them made so please, if you make any of these, link up your post here at the end of this so everyone can share them!
CLICK HERE to see the site and all the pop-up templates!
I used the Once Upon a Time stamp set and the wedding people from the Voila to go set. The center window of the castle is the word window and slot punches but the other windows are cut to a middle size. The front is the heart to heart punch.
I changed it around and added some stuff so here are a few steps of the folds.

Add your link below if you made any of the other pop-up cards from Robert Sabuda's site or any of your own pop-up creations as well! I just don't have enough time to make them all but I'm dying to see more!
Once you have finished your project, post it on your site and link ONLY THAT POST up with Mr. Linky below! Please do not just link your blog URL up, make sure you only link the post with the picture of your finished pop-up project.
An example, my site is http://stampndesign.blogspot.com but I would link my post http://stampndesign.blogspot.com/2010/01/template-challenge.html. You can get this URL by clicking on the title of your post so only that one is open. Thanks!
I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! If you do not have a blog I think you can post your picture to a public site and link that address.
If you have posted your site and the link does not work, I will have to take it off. So if you have posted with Mr. Linky and then you don't see it there, just try again! I want to see them!

Potty Party

This post has nothing to do with stamping but I just couldn't help myself. My two year old got potty trained in under a week so we had a 'Potty Party' for him last night with a potty cake and everything. I have to give credit for the potty cake idea to my fellow Stampin' Up demonstrator Becky Nelson. She did it for her twins when they got potty trained. It was too good of an idea not to copy!
Timmy loved it and it's all he can talk about this morning! He keeps saying, "I love my party".

Tractor Onesie

I made this onesie using the By Land stamp set with the trucks and tractors(retired). I just used fabric paint to put it on the onesie. One of our friends is expecting and they just found out it's a boy. Their family owns and works on a farm in town so I thought this would be perfect!

Baptism Punch Art Baby

Here is the Baptism card that I made for my nephew. I am his godmother so I thought it should be something good. I don't have any Baptism stamps so here you go!
I have to give credit for the baby to Ellen Kemper, the Punch Art Queen, who made him as a New Years Baby. CLICK HERE to see her baby and how to make him. I cut the cross out of paper and used the scallop edge punch to make the scallops on the sides.

Love Compass Try #2

I wasn't totally happy with the last compass that I did (in the last post) so I tried again. I like this one much better. The definition is from the Define Your Life stamp set. I used Fundamental Phrases for the YOU on the heart and Sense of Time for the main compass part. I just inked it with a marker and left off the clock numbers. The heart is punched with the heart to heart punch. The North, South, East, West letters I drew and cut out.
This compass was my husbands idea! I was bugging him on a long car ride when I was brainstorming for ideas and this is what he came up with!

A Few New Cards

I have done few cards over the past few days and haven't had a chance to post them so I thought I would post them together and save some time! Here they are!

Stamp sets used:
Warm Words
Lovely as a Tree

Stamp sets used:
Simply Said - The butterflies are the hearts stamped overlapping at the points and cut out.

Stamp sets used:
Full of Life
Fundamental Phrases
Sense of Time - You can't see it very well but the clock is inked and stamped on vellum. I didn't ink the numbers so I could make it into a compass.
