All in the Family - Get Well Soon

I made this card for my girlfriend who got in a car accident recently and can't seem to get better! I used the All in the Family stamp set as well as the new Family Business set. I love these little family sets! You can make so many different themed cards out of them and they are so cute!
I also used the Woodland Walk DSP for the background, Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon, the Word Window punch and Modern Label Punch. The sentiment is from the Word Play stamp set.

Season of Apple Picking

I had the pleasure of getting to be a chaperon on my daughters kindergarten field trip today! We went to the apple orchard and picked apples, had cider donuts and went on a tractor ride. I made this card to send as a thank you to her teacher for organizing such a nice trip for all the kids and adults.
I used the Season of Friendship stamp set and then used the Owl Punch to punch out the apples for the tree. For the sentiment I used the Decorative Label Punch and the Large Oval punch.

Here is my little peanut on the tractor ride.

Halloween Treat Box Gift

My in-laws have been away on vacation for a week so the kids and I made them black licorice caramel candy as a treat for when they got back today. Of course what is a present of candy without a great container and card!?
I used my TWO CUPCAKE BOX template to make the box and then used my Top Note Frame Technique for the card! I also used the new Northern Frost Decorative Strip and the Big Shot to make the spiders. That's right, I used the snowflake die to make the spiders legs and then punched out circles to go over the center parts for the bodies!

Here is a close up of the candy and the spiders. I will be posting a mini tutorial soon on how I made the spiders!

Paisley Prints Decoratively Framed

Here is my Paisley Prints Decoratively Framed card! I made this card for The Hive Creative Challenge. I used the Top Note die with the Big Shot to cut out the Chocolate chip frame and used my Decorative Label Punch to create the inside of the frame!

Here is how I made this card:

For the acorn, I just stamped the paisley pumpkin twice, from the Paisley Prints stamp set. Once in Crumb Cake and again in Chocolate Chip. Then I just cut the acorn shape out of it instead of the pumpkins!

To make the frame I first used the Top Note die and the Big Shot. I then used a pencil on the back to draw lines from the center of both points horizontally and vertically. Then I measured over 3/16" from the vertical center line and drew a line on both sides. This gives you the places to line up your Decorative Label Punch.

Put your Decorative Label Punch onto the top note shape and punch lined up like shown. You want the inside points to be lined up on the pencil lines.

If you do opposite corners first it is easier to line up the last two like shown on the right.

Here is your finished frame!

For the sentiment I used the "thanks" stamp from the Afterthoughts Hostess stamp set and then punched it out with the Decorative label punch. To get it shorter I just put it back in the punch and punched the top and bottom again to get the final shape.

Hope you like it!

These cards were made by a Demo in my downline, Janice Gamble. I thought they were pretty cute so I thought I would share! Thanks Janice!

Crimped Diamond Technique

Here is a card made with the Crimped Diamond Technique, a great technique that I found the tutorial for on Splitcoast by Lee Conrey. The only thing I did different was I folded all the corners of my paper in and crimped it all at once. It didn't crimp the very center of the paper but I was covering that part anyway so that didn't matter. That way I didn't get the straight lines that she got on the edges.
A quick tutorial:
You start by marking the center of your paper on all of the sides. Draw diagonal lines on the back of your paper and then score on these lines. I used a 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" paper to start.r

Fold your paper on all these scores and put it through your paper crimper. You want to press hard when you crimp it so it goes to all the folds.

When you open your paper this is what you have! Just trim a little bit off the edges since the crimping makes it a little uneven.

I used a 5" x 3 3/4" piece of paper from the Deck the Halls DSP and cut the corners off to put it in the center diamond. I used the Peaceful Season Stamp set for the Sentiment and the bird. My colors are Very Vanilla, Soft Suede and Cherry Cobbler. I love the combination of these colors!
