Scrapbook Dresser page

Here is my Modern Label Dresser page. I have seen a bunch of different cards with a dresser on them so I had to give one try. Here is my version! The picture is of my little Ashley peanut when she was just a few weeks old. She hated her baths and would scream the entire time and be worn out by the end.
The words are from the Naturally Serif Die cut with the Big Shot. The background on the paper is done with the Decor Roller in So Saffron and Pink Pirouette ink to match the paper. ( I measured 1" marks across the page and then lined up my roller with a straight edge to get them equally spaced and not crooked.)

I used the Modern Label punch for all of the drawers and for the cut out on the bottom of the dresser to make the legs (just half a punch out). I stamped the image from the Artistic Etchings stamp set on each drawer to add some decoration and put a small Basic Pearl in the center for the handles. The mirror is the from the Decorative Label Punch from the Holiday Mini Catalog. This is a new punch that will be for sale to everyone when the catalog starts on September 1st. (This is another great reason to be a demonstrator, we get to pre-order all the new fun toys early!) I used the Word Window Punch for the supports that hold up the mirror in back of the dresser.

For the shelf I used the ends of the Modern Label Punch cut at an angle and the hooks are the new Basic Pearls. The hangers are from wire that I just bent into shape and of course the little onesies and items on the shelf are cut out from the Baby Bundle stamp set.

Things I used for this project:
Artistic Etchings
Baby Bundle
Basic Pearls
Modern Label Punch
Decorative Label Punch (2010 Holiday Mini)
Word Window Punch
Naturally Serif Die
Big Shot
Decor Roller

Last Day for Challenge! - FREE Tutorial for Winner!

This is the last day to enter the challenge for a chance to win a FREE tutorial!

I got this swap (above) at convention and it is one of my favorites. I think the layout is so creative and something that I have not seen before so I thought I would do a challenge with this layout!
This swap was made by Latisha Dinkel. Such a good job!

The card below is the one I did using the Just Believe stamp set with the same layout. I love this set!
The neat thing about this card is you just have to put it on a single back (not folded) because you open the card by lifting the top note! This would save a lot of paper for a class!

CLICK HERE to add your card links! I don't do many challenges so don't forget to participate!

The winner to this challenge will get a FREE tutorial of their choice!

Pinchy the Punched Lobster

Here is my Lobster card made entirely out of punches! I really like how this little guy turned out! I used Riding Hood Red card stock and sponged the edges and used a marker in some places. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations and the lemons are from Tart and Tangy stamped with Daffodil Delight ink. Behind the sentiment I punched black wide ovals for each side and just set them out a little bit from the white one and a 1 3/4" circle for the back. The lobster, "Pinchy", is put on the card with dimensionals to give him some depth.

Here is a labeled picture of what the pieces are and then I have some directions with photos below.
I took some pictures along the way as I made it so I could explain how.

When I say Wide oval w/ modern label out in the picture above this is what I mean. I punched a wide oval piece and then used the modern label to punch out the pieces to make it look like the claw edge. I just punched them one right next to the other to get the uneven claw look.

This is how I made the small part of the claws. I just cut the wide oval like shown and them punched the edge with the modern label punch again.

When I say Wide oval w/ wide oval out this is what I mean. I just took a chunk off the end of my punched wide oval shape using the wide oval punch.

Word window w/ small oval out for the legs. I then cut these pieces in half the long way so I had skinny legs.

Here is the front half put together. After that its all oval shapes with pieces just taken off the ends.

Hope this was helpful if you want to try and re-create him! My daughter named him "Pinchy" and I think he needs more friends! I thought this would be great for a scrapbook page of eating lobsters or fishing or something like that.

Cylinder Lattice Embossed Purse

Here is my Cylinder Lattice Embossed Purse!
I needed a purse to go to a wedding and didn't have anything to match my dress so I designed this one! I ran out of time before the wedding and didn't get to use it but I finally finished my little purse tutorial to share with you!
This would be great to match a dress for any occasion or just to make for fun. The overall dimensions are approximately 4" wide, 3 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" long.
You can use any color card stock, ribbon, ink and accessories you want to make this project! You can even choose a different embossing folder for a completely different look! Make it with polka-dots in a soft color and it would be great to hold a small baby gift!

After getting the Every Little Bit stamp set I got inspired by the adorable little penguin in it. He is so cute I just had to make him out of punches. For this card I used the So many Thanks stamp set. I used Baja Breeze card stock and the ice is Whisper white with Sahara sand marker.

black - 1 1/4" circle

Large penguin:

Double Popsicle Card - FREE Template

Here is my Double Popsicle Card! I thought this card would be perfect for a summer invitation for anything! It would also make a great thank you card!

CLICK HERE to get the FREE template for this card!

For my card I just lined the template up on a top-folded whisper white card and cut it out. I used sponges with Tangerine Tango ink for the popsicle part and Crumb Cake ink for the stick part. I used a post-it-note to block off the part that I was not sponging at the time.
I used the Just Believe stamp set for the sentiment and Daffodil Delight 1/8" taffetta ribbon for the bow. So easy!
You could also cut separate pieces of colored card stock instead of sponging.

On my second one (I needed one for each kid!) I decided to make it a melon creamsicle. I used Melon Mambo ink and the Scallop Circle punch and a scrap of white paper to make the cream filling! On this one I used the Things I Love stamp set.

Helping Hudson

I usually don't do things like this on my blog but I think this one is for a good cause. I was asked to donate a tutorial to raise money for this little boy and I thought it was a great idea. Read down to see how you can help this little boy, the son of another Stampin' Up Demonstrator.

It’s true when they say that a little goes a long way, and I’m here to tell you about how a simple purchase of some fun -filled paper craft tutorials can give freedom to a little boy!

Hudson is 2 ½ but unlike most children his age, he has had a tough little life! Doctors realized he had an incomplete brain before he was born and as a newborn he was discovered to be legally blind.
Hudson has recently been diagnosed with both Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy! His mobility has been hindered severely by his disabilities, however his family and friends wish nothing more than to give him the chance to get moving on his own. Hudson needs a special Wheelchair/Walker, called a Kid Walker. This device will help get him mobile, allow him to play with his brother and sister, interact with other children his own age and give him independence in his day to day life!
This is where the stamping world really comes into play! When a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators are asked for help they come to the rescue, ink and paper in hand, to work miracles. This is what has happened around Hudson over the last few months. First with his mum’s direct team, and then spreading out across Australia and New Zealand and over in to the US, the UK and Canada! His story has touched so many people so its time to share it with you all!
There is a HUGE online stamping event taking place, called Helping Hudson -A Wheely Great Cause! The organizers have been working really hard, securing support, tutorials and donations to get this event underway. There are going to be three weeks of stamping fun for you to join in – come back as often as you can, there will always be lots more to see, do and learn. It kicks off on the 1st August and will run right through until the 22nd. You’ll find it at
http://helpinghudson.blogspot.com
When you come on over to the blog you’ll find out all about Hudson, his family and his cause! But, more importantly, you can DO SOMETHING TO HELP HUDSON, at the same time as helping yourself learn how to make some great new paper craft projects. How? By purchasing bundles of tutorials kindly donated by Stampin’ Up! demonstrators the world over. Each bundle has 10 fun-filled tutorials for just AU$10! And there are six themes to choose from: Bags & Boxes, Christmas, Kids’ Birthdays, Projects for Men & Boys, Punch Art & Scrapbooking. There’s even a FREE bonus bundle if you buy four or more.
WOW how exciting! All proceeds go directly to help Hudson.
For Aussie Demos only the Helping Hudson Crew will also be posting some awesome challenges throughout the three weeks. For a small donation you can join in and be in the running for some FANTASTIC Stampin’Up! Prize packs, kindly donated by Stampin’ Up! Australia (Aussie participants only due to SU rules) Also keep your eyes peeled for challenges over at Just Add Ink and Stamp A Memory too)

We would love you to help spread the word too. Check out the ‘Spreading The Word’ page at the site for all you need to know to get the word out to as many people as you can.

C’MON LETS GET HUDSON MOVING!!!!!
