Accordion Fold Train Birthday Card

To make this card I used the Choo Choo stamp set with the Right on Track roller. I used the Naturally Serif die with the Big shot for the lettering. I really liked how it came out so I thought I would post a mini tutorial on how to make it.

Here is how I made this card!
Start with a 5 1/4" x 8 1/2" piece of paper for the center accordion part. Score it at 1/4", 2 1/4" , 4 1/4", 6 1/4" and 8 1/4". Fold it like shown on the scores.

Using Sticky strip or Tombow adhesive, glue the 1/4" sections to the back of (2) - 4" x 5 1/4" pieces of cardstock. I then wheeled my Right on Track roller across the entire inside of the card.

You will need (2) - 1" x 1 1/2" pieces of paper scored at every 1/2" going the long way. You will glue these around a 26" length of 1/4" ribbon without gluing them to the ribbon. The ribbon should be able to slide freely.

You are going to cut the front and back of you card; (2) - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" pieces of paper. Tape the accordion into the center of these two papers. You are going to attach the the paper slides to the front and back of the card like shown. The front one will be covered up.

For the front of the card I cut a 4" x 5 1/4" paper and put Dimensionals on all the corners. This I stuck to the front of the card to cover up the slide and put my card front on. Now you just decorate your card to your liking and your accordion card is all set. Tie the ribbon in a bow to hold closed and when you open it the ribbon will slide through so it can expand and stand up!

Enjoy!
