Convention Swap Layout Challenge - FREE tutorial for the winner!

I got this swap (above) at convention and it is one of my favorites. I think the layout is so creative and something that I have not seen before so I thought I would do a challenge with this layout!
This swap was made by Latisha Dinkel. Such a good job!

The card below is the one I did using the Just Believe stamp set with the same layout. I love this set!
The neat thing about this card is you just have to put it on a single back (not folded) because you open the card by lifting the top note! This would save a lot of paper for a class!

Add your card links below! I don't do many challenges so don't forget to participate!
The winner to this challenge will get a FREE tutorial of their choice!

Owl Punch Birthday Kids!

I hate when I have a new punch and not enough time to play around with it! I got the new Owl Punch and I have not had time to really play with it. Here is my first go at punch art kids using the own punch. I also used the Occassional Quotes (Hostess) stamp for the sentiment and the Every Little Bit stamp set for the presents and dog. (He is so cute!)

Here is how I made them!

Boy:
head + hair- 1" circle punch
ears + eyes- middle sized circle on the owl punch
shirt-owl punch vest looking shape and word window for the sleeves
pants- word window for the legs and large oval punch for the bum
shoes- 1/2" circle punch
arms- word window punch

Girl:
head + hair- 1" circle punch
pigtails- large circle on the owl punch with little bit cut off the bottom
eyes- middle sized circle on the owl punch
shirt + skirt- owl punch with scallop oval to cut off the bottom
neck- wide oval punch
arms- word window punch
shoes- 1/2" circle punch and owl punch heart for the bows with tiny circle in the center
legs- word window punch

balloons- 1" circle punch with a scrap for the tie part
I used markers to shadow and the white gel pen to highlight.

I thought this would make an adorable invitation or thank you card for twins!

I have a great way you can do both of those things!
You can join my Stampin' Up team and become a Demonstrator!

Joining to be a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator is what you want to make of it. This is by far the best job that I have ever had. I truly do look forward to “working” each day. I make my own schedule and work when I want to. If I have time to host workshops and parties I do, if not, I just don’t book any that month. I get to invite all my friends over and have card classes and meets lots of people from my community that I would not otherwise know. I get to stay home and raise my kids while at the same time bringing in some extra income. What could be better then that?!

The more time you want to put into it, the more money you can make. If you don’t want to spend time on it you can just get a great discount and FREE merchandise to support your hobby!
You don’t have to have workshops and parties if you don’t want to. You can just use your discount for you and your friends as well as being your own hostess and getting all the FREE stamps sets and products that go along with that!

Things you get for joining my team:

-A special hand made gift for joining and a gift from me every time you promote to a new level!

-Each month you will be able to take part in a long distance swap by mail. Just mail me your swaps that you made (card fronts only) and I will send you back great swap cards to give you new ideas and inspire you. This is a great way to see stamp sets and materials that you may not have!

-Three Card Class by mail. Each month I will send you a tutorial with the paper and accessories to make three cards that I have designed featuring one stamp set. All you will have to provide to make them is the stamps and ink. If you don’t have the stamps that I used you can easily swap out the images and sentiments to make them your own! It’s like going to a FREE card class in your own home!

-You will also have your choice of one FREE tutorial from my site each month!

Things you get for joining Stampin’ Up from them:

-Product discount. Demonstrators get a 20% discount on all Stampin' Up! products, including stamp sets, paper, and accessories. Depending on how much you sell (or buy!) each month that discount can go up to 40%!

-Earn FREE stamps within the first six months you’re a demonstrator through the Stampin’ Start program—a program that helps you establish a thriving career.

-You will receive the Stampin’ Success magazine each month full of inspiration and new ideas on ways to use your products. Also a second magazine every quarter with more great samples and company updates.

-The chance to pre-order products and hostess sets before any one else has a chance to see them!

-Keep your personal monthly sales at $300 or more, recruit other demonstrators, and you’ll be eligible to earn commission on your recruits’ sales! (This is called downline overrides.) You’ll earn even higher commission as you achieve higher titles and as your sales increase.

-Earn cash bonuses, product bonuses, incentive trips, and other awards as you achieve success through the awards and recognition program.

Convention was Amazing!!!

I am back from my first Stampin' Up Convention and I had the best time ever! I went with my mom, who is also my downline, and we had a blast!

Thank you so much to all of you who came up and talked to me and let me know that you enjoy my blog. I was so flattered that so many of you even take the time to look at it! It was great to meet you all and get your amazing swaps if you found me when I still had some left and a huge thank you to those of you who gave me one anyway when I was out!
One of the first nights we were there I sat next to a woman in a restaurant who came with her entire family to convention. They were all so nice and my mom and I were so impressed. Later in the convention we found out that this was Cara Brandse and she is the #1 Rising Star for Canada! Here is a photo of me and her!

I got to meet Shelli a few times while we were there. The first time was at the Flower Power party the first night... Next year for convention I will know to bring some outfits to wear for the themed parties, everyone was dressed up!

Here is me with Kathy Kuffel from Wisconsin dressed in the inflatable fat lady hippie suit. She of course was only wearing this for the Flower Party. She was great!

The next time I saw Shelli I even had her sign my Mrs. Potato Head swap!

We got to take a tour of the SU factory where they send out all of the stamps. Here is a picture of us with the big rock out front!

My mom and I always seem to do something silly while we are away together so this time we thought we would get our pictures taken with this statue. Luckily no police were around at the time...

Here are just some other random photos from our time there.

If you want to be able to go to a great event like this with us next year, you just have to sign up as a Stampin' Up demonstrator! I will put up some details soon about joining my team! Email me if you have any questions. Who wouldn't love to get a great discount on stamps?!

I will add some great swaps that I got soon too!
