Stamping with Sweetened Condensed Milk

I saw in a magazine how to stamp with sweetened condensed milk so I thought I would try it. It comes out really neat but I don't know if you would want to save it for along time since its really food.
Here is how I did it!

I spread out sweetened condensed milk on a paper plate and dipped my stamp into it just like ink. I made sure to not get any on the foam of the stamp since its really milk.

I stamped that onto may paper. Then I sprinkled clear embossing powder over the image.

You are going to heat it with the heat tool. The milk will bubble and then turn brown. The more you heat it the darker it gets. Just be careful not to burn the paper too!

To make these cards I used Asian Artistry, Well Scripted and the Inspired by Nature stamp sets. I also used the big shot with the Top Note die, large oval punch, the wide oval punch and satin ribbon.

3-D Bird in a Cage Project

This is my three-dimensional Cockatiel bird in a cage project!

I just have to say that this is my all-time favorite project and it was my mother's idea to make this! My mom, Gerry Dyer, is also a Stampin' Up demonstrator and is in my downline. She came up with the idea and I figured out how to make it!
This project DOES NOT use the two-step bird punch, it is a template that I will send you to make the bird three-dimensional. It is slightly larger in size then the bird punch. The cage stands about 9 1/2" tall and is about 4 1/2" wide. The pictures do not do this project justice, it is very elegant and beautiful. This would make a great piece to put on a shelf for decoration or in a child's room instead of a real pet! What's better then a pet that you never have to feed? These birds would also be cute all by themselves sitting around the house or in a plant!
The bottom and top of this project uses the Tulipe die. You can do this project without it, it just wouldn't be as fancy.

Bird Punch Roses

I made these roses using the Two-step bird punch. I thought this would be a great card for Mother's Day!

Here is how I made them:
All of the pieces of the flower are using the wing from the bird punch.
Punch out three Bravo burgundy wings. Use the marker to shadow the edges then glue them on top of each other like shown.

Cut a wing out of Always artichoke and cut the end like shown, you will need two of these for each flower. Shadow the edges with the marker and glue them on like shown.

I used the marker to connect the outline so the leaves look a little better.

To glue them on I used half of a dimensional at the top and two way glue at the base. The leaves and branch became the stem. The vase is the large and small tag punch.

Hope you like it!

Planting Flowers Wheelbarrow and Cards

This is the perfect project for the beginning of spring! Everyone has their wheelbarrows out and they are getting their gardens ready. This project would also be great for Mother’s Day or for flower lovers year round! You can even put candy or a small plant in the wheelbarrow and use it for a decoration!

Due to popular demand I have decided to put this project up for sale individually. It was originally part of my Stamp-n-Design into Spring event but I have had so many requests for just this project I am going to put it up!

Tulipe Wedding Gift Set

The entire gift!

The oven mitt...

And the matching card!

I used the Tulipe die cut with the Big Shot to make this great wedding gift!
It is his and hers matching aprons and kitchen mitts. I thought I would make a set of towels to match too (I actually made 5 towels but I only have two in the photo.)! I used freezer paper and an iron to make stencils and ironed them onto my fabric and then painted on the fabric paint.
And of course the card to match! This used Bravo burgundy textured cardstock and gold cardstock with the white satin ribbon.
You can see more details about this stenciling technique HERE!
